The Scottish netminder, who won the British netminder of the year award for the 2008-09 season, comes to Belfast on the back on a highly successful season with rivals Manchester Phoenix. Murphy, 27, appeared in a remarkable 67 games last season and posted an impressive 91.1% save percentage.
GM Todd Kelman had this to say on the signing one of the best netminders in the league; “With the loss of Lyle, we needed to add another star British player, and Murphy was available. We asked the guys that played against him this year, all of our legitimate goal scorers, and they all felt he was one of the top three netminders in the league, as did Thornton.”

VCM Services are proud to take an interest in a local team “Harper Racing” three brothers all under the age of 18. Curtis Harper the eldest brother has started as an Apprentice Engineer at VCM Services.
All three brothers have had a number of successful Moto Cross seasons.

Motocross racing in Northern Ireland has a very strong family and community base, This sport is both enjoyable and exciting to watch, which is the main reason why this sport has become so popular. Both spectators and competitors can enjoy the events, building interest in all aspects of this sport. Many clubs have growing members which enjoy passing on information, photos and videos. |
Victor Macfarlane, director of VCM Services is not only a keen follower of Moto Cross Racing, but frequently participates in a number of races throughout the season. Victor says “Its not the winning that’s important to me, finishing the course brings me great satisfaction alone.” The staff at VCM Services are known to remind him of this quote on Monday mornings!!
